AB Workshops and the Saxophone Orchestra Manchester (SOM) are proud to present the Power-Up Saxophone Weekend with Snake Davis and Derek Nash at Thorn Grove Primary School, Cheadle Hulme (Greater Manchester).

Playing level: As a guide, you’ll need an instrumental ability of Grade 3 standard or above.

  • Two full days of tutor lead sessions, multiple sessions per day

  • Workshop runs from 9.30am each day, with lunch and two additional breaks
  • Refreshments; tea, coffee and light refreshments provided throughout the weekend

Yes! We welcome players from all over the World, no matter if you are from the UK, Europe or further afield you are welcome!

You will need your saxophone, saxophone stand and a music stand.

No, but we bet you will! Even for those that have never improvised before this weekend is a great opportunity to try it for the first time! But if it’s not for you, don’t worry, you won’t be made to do something you’re not comfortable with.

Yes, the ensemble sessions with Saira and Derek will require reading.
