Denys Baptiste Jazz Improvisation Workshop

4th / 5th May 2024 – Over the years, Denys has evolved into what Time Magazine describes as “the icon of British jazz”, with a most distinctive and immediately recognisable sound. A much sought after soloist, Denys has played/recorded with some of the biggest names in jazz.

Jay Metcalf (BetterSax) Level-Up Weekend

11th / 12th May 2024 – In conjunction with Saxophone Orchestra Manchester (SOM), we have a HUGE utterly fantastic saxophone weekend lined up in Manchester, for all levels and ages. Ensemble playing, jazz improv, rhythm workshops and much more! Don’t miss out!

‘Take a Breath’ by Amy Dickson

18th May 2024 – A breathing masterclass by the award-winning classical saxophonist Amy Dickson, which explores performance anxiety and includes breathing demonstrations and solo saxophone performances. Essential for everyone and anyone, especially woodwind players!

Eric Marienthal Saxophone Masterclass

24th May 2024 – Pizza Express Jazz Club, Soho, London. We have one of the world’s best saxophone players Eric Marienthal for an in-person saxophone masterclass. Erik will cover various topics including sound, improvisation, and practice time optimization.

Chris Quinn Art of the Blues Guitar Workshop

22nd / 23rd June 2024 – Over the past two decades acoustic guitarist and songwriter Chris Quinn has made a great name for himself in the world of folk, blues, jazz and acoustic music. His performances have been described by fellow musicians as “a masterclass in the acoustic guitar”.

Tony Kofi Big Band Weekend

10th / 11th August 2024 – Tony Kofi is a British Jazz multi-instrumentalist. Having ‘cut his teeth’ in the “Jazz Warriors” of the early 90’s, award-winning saxophonist Tony Kofi has gone on to establish himself as a musician, teacher and composer of some authority.

Derek Nash Blues & Boogie Woogie Workshop

12th October 2024 – A one day workshop with Derek Nash. Sax man extraordinaire of Jools Holland fame, for a one day Blues & Boogie Woogie Workshop. A fantastic opportunity for ‘front line’ instrument players to work with one of the UK’s top musicians.

Andy Scott Saxophone Weekend

19th / 20th October 2024 – Andy is a multi-nominated and British Composer Award winner, a founder member of the Apollo Saxophone Quartet (est.1985), Tutor of Saxophone & Visiting Tutor of Composition at the Royal Northern College of Music.

Tim Garland Saxophone Workshop

8th / 9th February 2025 – British saxophonist and reed player Tim Garland is a forward-thinking jazz musician whose inventive style often crosses the boundaries between modern creative improvisation and contemporary classical composition.
